Giuseppe Rametta, alias giusirames, was born in 1974 and lives in Syracuse. He has been writing poetry since the age of 13.
‘A terra mia S’amuccia tra lu mari e lu celu Si paunia ravanti a’ lu suli E ‘a sira si vesti scuddata e s’arricria Ri stiddi e di luna china jè culurata. Cu tia e ni tia vogghiu campari ‘nfinu a quannu ‘u Signuri boli e ‘nt’itia Vogghiu ripusari, dopu ca tuttu passau E ‘u tampu si puttau.
This poem is a dedication of love to our land. Sicily hides between the sea and the sky, and a full moon and the stars light it up.
Giuseppe is also a painter. He paints on different surfaces using many techniques: from charcoal on paper to ink on papyrus, oil, tempera, and acrylic on canvas, painting on glass.

He is currently studying a new technique. It consists in coloring the water and guiding it on a glass surface or cardboard. The water can solidify until it turns into transparent paper on which, once dry, you can draw. If this paper comes into contact with water, it returns to the liquid state. Beautiful sculptures can arise from liquids.
Among his most appreciated works, there is a painting on papyrus of 8 square meters. Papyrus is a plant that grows spontaneously in Syracuse.
